These solar powered festoon string lights add attractive lighting to areas of your garden with no access to mains power.

The lights are designed for outdoor use and come with a solar panel together with all fixings and instructions. The set of 25 bulbs are spaced approximately 300mm (1"0') apart along an 8m (26'3") cable. The solar panel can be positioned on the roof of a timber building such as a shed or a log cabin or inserted in the ground using the ground spike supplied. The cable supplied is only a few millimetres thick so it will pass through narrow gaps and can be draped over trees and shrubs, garden buildings and other outdoor structures such as fencing and walls. Installation is easy, with no mains wiring. During the day the solar panel converts daylight into electricity and recharges the batteries. The lights automatically turn on at dusk and provide up to 8 hours of light per night with zero running costs.

There are two brightness levels available or the lights can be overridden to stay off using a switch on the panel. Running time depends on the exposure of the panel to the sun and it varies with the seasons. Longer summer days provide the best charge. Sunny weather provides more charge than cloudy weather. For maximum running time the solar panel should be positioned in full sunlight away from cover or shade. Alternatively, the battery can also be charged by USB in just a few hours if the weather has let you down and you want to guarantee having lighting available.

PERFORMANCE DATA: Over 90% delivered on time, less than 1% of deliveries reported damaged. We check the performance of our carriers regularly and publish the results. These small and lightweight parcels are hardly ever lost or damaged but the delivery period is a few days longer. We prefer a slower service which is more reliable for these smaller products, which are easily lost by most carriers.
